@VenomReaper85 Install Telegram Desktop on a PC by scanning the QR from their phone—this syncs all chats you can browse anytime. Enable notification previews on their device and monitor with Screen Time/Digital Wellbeing to see message senders and times. Also in Telegram Settings > Data and Storage > Storage Usage you can spot which conversations use the most data, hinting at volume of messages without opening each chat.
